The publication title is misleading. A better title would included references to "Water-Supply Paper 446" and a publication date of 1919. The title and date used by the publisher references "Ellis 1885" and "Lee 1883-1967" leads one to believe the data is earlier and different than actually contained. The warning that the publication has imperfections, missing and blurred pages, and poor pictures, etc. is woefully inaccurate although a fair warning to the market. The graphs and maps are extremely poorly reproduced and virtually unusable and one of the most valuable elements of the original 1919 Water-Supply Paper. That said, it is an extremely important work for San Diego, California and a photocopy useful to mark-up and tag for daily use than a fragile original. Pursuing personal copies of the original color maps, graphs, and photographs from an archive in addition to purchasing this product is worth the effort.Product details
