“Sisters in Law” is a story about how three Lawyers, Kali Miller, Gillian Lawrence, and Jada Tyler, team up to hold their firm together after most of their male counterparts die in a sudden and tragic disaster.

The three female leads in the story each has a distinct personality and are completely different from each other. Yet the author has done such a good job in building amazing chemistry and dynamics amongst the three ladies.

The story moves at an engaging pace. With intriguing characters and an interesting story plot, it is easy to fall in love with the three protagonists and get addicted to the story itself.

I can totally imagine this book to be filmed as a movie or highly addictive television series. It is certainly an entertaining read.

!Sisters In Law by Sylvia Mulholland is one interesting and delightful read. In it, we have three women lawyers trying to navigate their work, personal and family lives. Each of them so different from one another, yet they have a kindred like friendship, and work together as lawyers at the law firm of Biltmore, Durham and Spears. First there is Jada Tyler, a single, stylish, beauty that is in a relationship which is soon to end, with a colleague at the firm. Next there is Gillian, a hippyish, creative writer in her spare time, waiting to get her novel published, while tackling her only child, her teenage daughter. Last, but not least, there is conservative Kali, married with two children, managing a hectic life of career and family. These three women’s lives are more than interesting, filled with trials, interpersonal relationships and amusement. When a few of the male lawyers board a small plane headed to Catalina island for the firm’s annual tie-swap party, things go terribly wrong and tragedy strikes. What follows is an eventful story filled with assorted romances, intrigue, mystery and certainly a lot of laughs.

Sisters In Law is an unputdownable fun filled read that had me captivated from the very first chapter. Sylvia Mulholland has created quite a few memorable, rather quirky and somewhat eccentric characters in this fabulous story. They are fully developed with complicated lives, interesting personalities and peculiarities. I could completely relate and found myself connecting with the three main characters, the women lawyers. Their struggles with work versus family lives and their personal relationships are undeniably true to life. Sylvia Mulholland, with her instinctive writing style, has managed to put a delightful, humorous spin on their complex and sometimes confusing lives. I fully enjoyed each of their individual storylines and the way the author intricately tied them all together.

The descriptive language of the settings, food and situations had me on the scene fully engaged all the way from the start of the book to the very satisfying conclusion. As a practicing lawyer with her own law firm, Sylvia Mulholland gives readers a first-hand glimpse into the inner workings of a law firm. With this fun and original story, she addresses the challenges that women face managing a career and family life, while trying to do it all. She writes with much humor and empathy. There are many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and overall I was fully entertained as I found myself laughing throughout this sensational read. I highly recommend Sisters In Law to all avid women readers!

I purchased this book on the recommendation of a friend. She told me it was hilarious, and I was not disappointed!. Excellent writing style with twists and turns that keep you glued to the pages. Sylvia Mulholland is definitely an exceptional writer, can’t wait for more of her intuitive works. Hopefully coming out soon. A must read! Cute title as well.
This book was such a fun read! It didn’t go the usual route with the normal murder mystery thing everyone does. The three female lawyer characters is so empowering to women and really reeled me in. The dialogue was great and the story line was so interesting to read, i couldn’t put it down. No spoilers, but the party was one of my favorite parts. It’s very refreshing to read something like this, focused on women and how they work hard to keep the business alive.
I've enjoyed this book but I think is a little silly, it could have a better development with the characters that the author has created for this story. I'll keep an eye attentive for future releases of this author because I think this is not her best work but she can certanly improve.
The description of this book led me to believe it was a small-scale reworking of Philip Wylie's "The Disappearance." It's not. It's an ultimately silly and slightly tedious portrait of three female attorneys, none of whom appear to have the work ethic or professional judgment to have become partners in a successful law firm. (Invite clients to a party so they can see their attorneys drunk? Puh-LEEZ!) I wanted to give up reading about halfway through, but persevered because of all the good reviews. Now I'm sorry I wasted my time.
Sylvia Mulholland has managed to create a real page-turner with all the mystery, humor and witty storytelling it promises. The book is a very interesting look at three women lawyers, each with their own challenges at work and at home, and their relationship with each other. The story sort of unravels as we go; their lives intertwine and they learn a lot about each other. Oh and on the funny side, most of the men in their firm (and maybe in the world, but I won't tell you more) have disappeared! As a married woman, this came as a pleasant surprise to me, and I was sort of imagining how it would be if the men in our lives were to disappear for a few hours so we could get some stuff done at home! (KIDDING!!)

Sisters in Law takes us through the journey of the three protagonists struggling to run their law firm whilst finding out about themselves, the people they worked with, and even about each other. The journey is certainly funny, and that's what most of the book is about. For a change, a funny take on lawyers showing us a very real, human side as opposed to all those serious courtroom dramas. You'll probably get through this book in a day like I did.
