It was WAY too long. The heroine was a bit whiny and complained A LOT but she was in denial about it all due to how she was raised. I did not live her life and I am not messed up like her so I will not judge her decisions. I will say that her parents should have tried to fix her way before she was 28. She had a good man but I did not get the love between them. They were not together that much. Most of the book was her fighting the relationship and basically everything in general! It could have been 100 pages shorter and still got the point across without all the UNNEEDED angst. Even though I wanted the book to be over and thought it had way more downs than ups, I will admit that the end with the baby fawn made me cry. I could not help it. I am a mom and it was emotional for me. Getting me to tear up is what pushed this to 3 stars instead of 2 stars.

i didnt ask for this book but just gave it to me and stole money from someones pocket but it was a nice book.
After all the glowing reviews, I felt that it was ok to buy it. I was SSSSSOOOO wrong. If you love romance books to be depressing, this is the book for you. I am a fan of the lighter feeling romance books. All I thought reading this book was that the heroine DESPERATELY NEEDS THERAPY( even at the conclusion too) It made me cry and depressed. The "happy ending" was also to short. I think it could have used more build up. I usually do not write bad reviews, but I got depressed reading this book.
